Too many Angels have been taken too soon either because of the sudden onset, DKA or because of other complications before, during or after diagnosis. Things such as not being educated enough or being un-aware, even being mis diagnosed as something else such as the flu or stomach bug.
It has happened and does still happen suddenly and it has taken the lives of many. Demand the test to check one drop during illness, during well checks or when one shows multiple signs symptoms which can be found on our pages, our print and share tab or links below.

Ketoacidosis is deadly and mostly seen in very young children though it does not discriminate with age. No family history is needed. It comes on quick without warning and can be mistaken as the flu or stomach bug.
Frequent thirst and urination, rapid weight loss are usually the first signs and symptoms, and it progresses quickly to worse and even coma and death if not caught or treated in time with insulin and fluids ASAP.
Seek medical help immediately if you see multiple signs and symptoms.
